$75.00

saturday, september 26 | SUSU commUNITY Farm | $75

join us on the land at SUSU commUNITY Farm for a special fall equinox sound bath and ritual exploring the visionary wisdom of Octavia Butler.

the fall equinox is a sacred threshold, a moment of balance between light and dark, a time for reflection, transformation, and preparing for the inward journey of the seasons ahead.

inspired by Octavia Butler’s teachings on adaptation, transformation, and shaping the future through our actions, this immersive experience invites participants to explore how we change, grow, and imagine new possibilities for ourselves and our communities.

through the healing power of vibration and sound, we will journey into the body, allowing Butler’s visionary wisdom about change, resilience, and collective futures to come alive through embodied practice.

what the costs covers:

the fall equinox invites us to honor cycles of change and prepare for the deeper introspection of the coming season. together we will create space for reflection, embodiment, and reconnecting with the wisdom that helps us navigate transformation.

  • you will experience a gentle and restorative evening that includes:

  • a guided sound bath meditation journeying through the wisdom of Audre Lorde’s teachings

  • a plant medicine tea journey, connecting with herbal allies that support embodiment, courage, and clarity

  • collective medicine making, where we will close the evening with a plant medicine ritual and create an herbal preparation to take home

a living Black archive

this sound bath is part of our Black archival practice of storytelling, where we honor and bring to life the teachings of Black women and femmes whose wisdom continues to shape our collective paths.

through ritual, sound, plant medicine, and embodied experience, we remember that these teachings are not only meant to be read — they are meant to be felt, practiced, and lived.

location

SUSU commUNITY Farm

a 37-acre Afro-Indigenous farm and healing sanctuary dedicated to land stewardship, cultural reclamation, and community healing. this gathering will take place in our healing sanctuary gardens or Praise House, surrounded by the beauty and medicine of the land.
