when we say sacred reciprocity, we mean the energetic exchanges that create harmony and balance among all living beings. the natural world practices sacred reciprocity when a bee collects nectar from a flower to make honey, while simultaneously pollinating that flower. the bee is nourished. flowers bloom. and we experience the sweetness of sacred reciprocity.

at SUSU, we sustain our commUNITY through practices of sacred reciprocity. we are able to offer our csa box of resilience, programming, and events at low-cost and no-cost because of the actionable commitments of our commUNITY.

SUSU commUNITY farm is an Afroindigenous farm, land-based healing and healing space in southern vermont. we offer a free CSA for people of the global majority, and create life affirming spaces for Black, Indigenous, People of Color to thrive and experience safety while healing from the intergenerational trauma of systemic oppression. 

we are committed to bringing multiracial commUNITY together to build sustainable relationships based in reciprocity. we do this by supporting people in connecting back to their traditional lineages and food ways, being guided by the wisdom of our ancestors, centering global majority-led and peer-supported culturally relevant programming for adults and youth. Together we grow, dream, rest, celebrate, and heal as we work toward building a sustainable, climate-resilient ecosystem rooted in a  culture of liberation.
